A good running routine will make daily life easier for you because you will have a strong cardiovascular system. This means it will be more difficult for you to run out of breath, and you’ll catch your breath much quicker after doing something exhausting.

Running may be difficult to get into if you haven’t worked out or ran in a long time. You should always start out at a slow pace to get your muscles warmed up before getting into a quick-paced jog. A slow jog will engage your muscles and get your heart rate up, which brings many benefits. The key here is to ensure you have a strong foundation before bringing your running routine to a higher level. Talk to a personal trainer if you need help developing good form and a routine

Once you have been training for a couple of weeks you should be ready to start running a little faster to test your capabilities. In running it feels good to push yourself and time your runs so you can set a goal on how fast you run that distance the next month. Constantly setting new training goals will improve your overall well being.

The ‘runner’s high’ is a fantastic feeling you’ll occasionally get when running at a good pace. It is a biological response that activates to try to help us run further distances by getting rid of any discomfort in the body.  ‘Runner’s high’ is euphoric and can be compared to a pain killer, meaning there are people addicted to running just to get that high.

If that’s not enough of a reason to run, it also makes your legs more muscular, meaning you’ll walk faster, jump higher, and be much more stable in everyday life. It’s like an upgrade to how you’re feeling without exercise.

A better cardiovascular system also means that you will have a stronger heart and lungs, resulting in less health complications. Not to mention you’ll get a stronger heartbeat that beats slower after you’ve been running for a long time, which allows it to last longer.

Consider all of these benefits of running because it is a decision that could change your life for the better. Feel better, live healthier, and look better. What else can you ask for?

If you are having trouble getting started, try walking at a brisk pace first, then evolve to a very slow jog. You’ll be running marathons in no time!
